TEMPERTURES IN SOUTHERN MINNESOTA WILL BE IN THE UPPER 80S TO LOWER 90S THIS AFTERNOON PUSHING THE APPARENT TEMPERATURE...OR HEAT INDEX...TO BETWEEN 95 AND 105 DEGREES..WITH ISOLATED READINGS SLIGHTLY ABOVE THE 105 DEGREE MARK. THE APPARENT TEMPERATURE...OR HEAT INDEX...IS A MEASURE OF THE CONTRIBUTION HUMIDITY MAKES WITH HIGH TEMPERATURES TO REDUCE THE HUMAN BODYS ABILITY TO COOL ITSELF.
