000 TTAA00 KMOB 251756 SVRMOB MSC059-ALC097-251900- BULLETIN..IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AND SPECIAL MARINE WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MOBILE AL 1156 AM CST TUE NOV 25 1986 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 100 PM CST FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES... IN ALABAMA...MOBILE AND IN MISSISSIPPI...JACKSON INCLUDING THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS OF THESE COUNTIES. AT 1155 AM CST NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR IN MOBILE SOWED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM 10 MILES NORTH OF PASCAGOULA INTO THE GULF 40 MILES SOUTH OF PASCAGOULA. THESE STORMS ARE MOVING NORTHEASTWARD AT 40 MPH AND WILL LIKELY PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS... YINTENSE RAIN...AND FREQUENT LIGHTNING.

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MOBILE AL 1110 AM CST TUE NOV 25 1986 ...TORNADO WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 200 PM CST FOR MUCH OF SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI AND PORTIONS OF SOUTHWEST ALABAMA... AT 1110 AM CST THE MOBILE RADAR SHOWED A NEARLY SOLID BANDE OF SHOWERS SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDING FROM NEAR LAUREL MISSISSIPPI TO BILOXI TO 120 MILES SOUTH OF BILOXI. THE MOST INTENSE OF THESE STORMS WILL PRODUCE VERY HEAVY RAINFALL...VERY STRONG WINDS...DANGEROUS LIGHTNING...AND POSSIBLY HAIL. AS OF 1110 AM THE MOST INTENSE STORMS WERE LOCATED IN MISSISSIPPI...JUST NORTH OF RICHTON...15 MILES SOUTHWEST OF LUCEDALE...NORTH OF BILOXI...AND IN THE COASTAL WATERS NEAR THE CHANDELEUR ISLANDS. KEESLER AIR FOCE BASE IN BILOXI MEASURED WIND GUSTS TO 48 MPH AS THE THUNDERSTORMS MOVED INTO THEIR AREA DURING THE LAST HOUR. THE STORMS ARE MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH.
