000 TTAA00 KMOB 082258 SVRMOB MSC111-090000- BULLETIN..IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MOBILE AL 500 PM CST TUE APR 8 1986 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 600 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN SOUTHEAST MISSISSIPPI...PERRY SHORTLY BEFORE 5 PM CST...WIND GUST OF 92 MPH WAS REPORTED IN A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM NEAR LAUREL MISSISSIPPI. THIS THUNDERSTORM IS MOVING SOUTHEAST AT NEARLY 55 MILES AN HOUR AND WILL ALSO PRODUCE EXTREMELY LARGE HAIL. PERSONS...DOWNSTREAM...PRIMARILY IN RICHTON MISSISSIPPI SHOULD TAKE SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.

AT 430 PM CST...A LARGE POTENTIALLY SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED ON THE MISSISSIPPI ALABAMA BORDER ABOUT 70 MILES NORTH OF MOBILE. THE STORM WAS MOVING SOUTHEASTWARD 55 TO 60 MILES AN HOUR. THIS THUNDERSTORM HAS PRODUCED HAIL EARLIER IN ITS HISTORY..WHILE IN MISSISSIPPI. NO OTHER PRECIPITATION WAS INDICATED BY RADAR NEAR NORTHWEST FLORIDA HOWEVER..RESIDENTS IN THE WESTERN COUNTIES OF THE FLORIDA PANHANDLE SHOULD BE ALERT FOR RAPIDLY CHANGING OR DETERIORATING WEATHER CONDITIONS.
