SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT AND RADAR SUMMARY NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MIAMI FL 435 PM EST WED MAR 26 1986 AN AREA OF NUMEROUS HEAVY SHOWERS AND A FEW VERY HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUED OVER BROWARD COUNTY. THIS ACTIVITY EXTENDED EAST OVER THE ADJACENT COASTAL WATERS FOR NEARLY 30 MILES. RESIDENTS OF BROWARD COUNTY CAN EXPECT STRONG GUSTY WINDS..REDUCED VISIBILITIES IN LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN TO ACOMPANY SOME OF THE THE STRONGER SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS FOR THE NEXT HOUR OR TWO. MOTORIST SHOULD ALLOW FOR ADDITIONAL COMMUTING TIME DUE TO THE REDUCED VISIBILITIES AND LOCAL FLOODING OF STREETS IN SOME OF THE HEAVIER ACTIVITY. SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS..A FEW VERY HEAVY..CONTINUED OVER MUCH OF THE REMAINDER OF SOUTH FLORIDA SOUTH OF A JENSEN BEACH/FORT MYERS LINE. WIDELY SCATTERED HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS WERE OCCURRING BETWEEN THE FLORIDA KEYS AND ANDROS ISLAND IN THE WESTERN BAHAMAS. MOVEMENT WAS WEST 15 MILES AN HOUR.
