THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 630 PM EST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING
COUNTIES OF

FLORIDA...COLLIER...GLADES AND HENDRY

AT 520PM...RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS
FROM WESTERN LEE COUNTY...SOUTH TO OVER THE COASTAL WATERS
OF MAINLAND MONROE COUNTY. THIS LINE WAS MOVING EAST AT 15 MILES
AN HOUR WITH INDIVIDUAL THUNDERSTORMS MOVING NORTHEAST AT NEAR
30 MILES AN HOUR. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL LIKELY PRODUCE DAMAGING
WIND GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 50 MILES AN HOUR AS THEY MOVE OVER THE
WARNING AREA.
A TORNADO WATCH IS ALSO IN EFFECT FOR THE WARNED AREA.  REMEMBER..
SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN PRODUCE TORNADOES WITH LITTLE OR NO
ADVANCE WARNING.
