THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 545 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES:
IN WEST TENNESSEE
..LAKE
AT 440 PM CDT, RADAR INDICATED A TORNADO EIGHT MILES NORTHEAST OF
HAYTI, MISSOURI IN PEMISCOT COUNTY MISSOURI. THE TORNADO WAS MOVING
NORTHEAST BETWEEN 10 AND 15 MPH. THIS TORNADO WILL BE MOVING INTO
LAKE COUNTY, TENNESSEE WITH THE CITY OF TIPTONVILLE IN THE DIRECT
PATH.
THE PUBLIC ALSO REPORTED A POSSIBLE TORNADO 15 MILES NORTH OF
DYERSBURG, MOVING NORTHEAST.
IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO, THE SAFEST PLACE IS A
BASEMENT. GET UNDER A WORKBENCH OR PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE.

AT 405 PM THE MISSOURI HIGHWAY PATROL REPORTED THAT A FUNNEL CLOUD WAS MOVING NORTHEASTWARD INTO NORTHWESTERN TENNESSEE NORTHWEST OF DYERSBURG IN THE LAKE..DYER..OBION COUNTY AREA. ALL PERSONS IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR APPROACHING THUNDERSTORMS AND TAKE COVER IF THREATENING WEATHER NEARS. STAY TUNED TO THIS STATION FOR THE LATEST WEATHER INFORMATION.
