THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1130 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES:
 
IN SOUTHWEST TEXAS
          ..CRANE

AT 1025 PM CDT..RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 20 MILES WEST
OF CRANE TEXAS MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT 10 MILES AM HOUR.
 
WHEN THUNDERSTORMS ARE OCCURRING, PEOPLE SHOULD MOVE INSIDE A
STRONG BUILDING.  DO NOT STAND BY WINDOWS.  DON'T USE TELEPHONES
OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES UNLESS IN AN EMERGENCY UNTIL THE STORM
HAS PASSED.  MOTORISTS SHOULD NOT DRIVE INTO LOW WATER CROSSINGS.
 
IF YOU ARE CAUGHT OUTSIDE, SEEK SHELTER FROM THE WEATHER IN A
STRONG BUILDING.  DAMAGING WIND, LARGE HAIL, VERY HEAVY RAIN, AND
DEADLY LIGHTNING ARE ALL POSSIBLE IN SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS.  STAY

at 1025 am cdt some very heavy thunderstorms were from northeast of
fort stockton to near colorado city. the city of big spring reported
11/2 inches of rainwithsome street flodding. with the ground already
saturated run off will be quick.person should be alert and take quick
action.
movement was north at 10 miles an hour.
