...A FLASH FLOOD WATCH FOR ALL OF WEST TEXAS..EXCEPT FAR WEST..THIS
   AFTERNOON AND TONIGHT...

AT 1230 PM..SCATTERED VERY HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS REMAINED OVER PORTIONS
OF NEW MEXICO AND WEST TEXAS MAINLY OVER THE PERMIAN BASIN ALONG THE
TEXAS..NEW MEXICO BORDER. THE HEAVIEST STORMS WERE BETWEEN JAL NEW
MEXICO AND LAMESA TEXAS. OTHER VERY HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS WERE WEST OF
GARDEN CITY AND NORTH OF STERLING CITY.

MOVEMENT WAS TO THE NORTHEAST AT 15 MILES AN HOUR.

SMALL HAIL..STRONG GUSTY WINDS..DANGEROUS LIGHTNING AND VERY HEAVY
RAIN CAN BE EXPECTED WITH THESE STORMS.

WITH THE PAST FEW DAYS OF RAIN..THE GROUND IS SATURATED OVER MUCH
WEST TEXAS AND ANY ADDITIONAL RAINFALL WILL RESULT IN FLASH FLOODING.
PERSONS SHOULD BE ON THE ALERT FOR HEAVY RAINS AND RAPIDLY RISING
WATERS AND BE PREPARED TO SEEK HIGHER GROUND IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT
LET YOUR CHILDREN PLAY IN THE RISING WATERS AND DO NOT TRY TO DRIVE

OF SOUTHEAST NEW MEXICO..THE TEXAS SOUTH PLAINS AND PERMIAN BASIN
BETWEEN LUBBOCK..MIDLAND..ORLA AND BLEDSOE TEXAS. THE HEAVIEST STORMS
WERE FROM WEST OF GOLDSMITH TO NORTH OF LAMESA AND 20 MILES NORTH OF
MENTONE TEXAS.

OTHER THUNDERSTORMS..SOME VERY HEAVY..WERE BETWEEN MIDLAND AND ABILENE
AND BETWEEN LUBBOCK AND ABILENE.

MOVEMENT WAS TO THE NORTHEAST AT 15 MILES AN HOUR.
