THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 215 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF

WEST TEXAS...COTTLE AND KING

AT 1112 PM CDT RADAR WAS SHOWING A LARGE AREA OF MODERATE
RAIN...WITH A FEW AREAS OF HEAVY RAIN...COVERING THE EASTERN
THIRD OF THE SOUTH PLAINS...OVER COTTLE AND KING COUNTIES.
RADAR WAS INDICATING THAT RAIN MAY CONTINUE IN THESE COUNTIES
FOR SEVERAL MORE HOURS. RAIN WAS MOVING TO THE NORTHEAST AT
30 MPH.

THESE COUNTIES OF THE SOUTH PLAINS HAVE EXPERIENCED SIGNIFICANT
RAINFALL EITHER EARLIER TODAY...OR LAST NIGHT...THAT HAVE LEFT
THE GROUND SOAKED AND UNABLE TO CONTAIN VERY MUCH MORE WATER.

AVOID ALL KNOWN LOW WATER CROSSINGS. IF YOU BECOME TRAPPED BY HIGH
OR RISING WATER...LEAVE YOUR CAR AT ONCE FOR HIGHER GROUND.
