THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 530 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF
SOUTHEAST MISSOURI...

  EASTERN MADISON

AT 5 PM CDT A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS NEAR FREDERICKTOWN MISSOURI
MOVING TO THE EAST SOUTHEAST AT 30 MPH.  TREES WERE REPORTED DOWN
JUST NORTH OF FREDERICKTOWN JUST BEFORE 5 PM.

REMEMBER A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAN PRODUCE DAMAGING WIND IN EXCESS
OF 60 MPH..LARGE HAIL..DEADLY LIGHTNING..AND HEAVY RAIN THAT CAN
QUICKLY FLOOD LOW LYING AREAS.

AT 220 PM CDT A LINE OF RAINSHOWERS AND A FEW STRONG THUNDERSTORMS
EXTENDED ACROSS MISSOURI. IT WAS ABOUT 25 MILES WIDE..NORTH OF A
LINE FROM KANSAS CITY TO COLUMBIA AND SAINT LOUIS. THE STRONGEST
THUNDERSTORMS WERE JUST SOUTHWEST OF FAYETTE AND ALSO BETWEEN
CARROLTON AND LEXINGTON. THESE THUND5ERSTORMS MAY DROP SMALL HAIL
WITH GUSTY WIND..ALONG WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN..AND THEY WERE MOVING
EAST AT 25 MILES AN HOUR.
