000 WRUS2 KBPT 072230 FFWBPT TXC005-457-080200- BULLETIN-IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED FLASH FLOOD WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PORT ARTHUR TX 530 PM CDT SAT JUN 7 1986 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES IN EAST TEXAS...ANGELINA AND TYLYER. THE ANGELINA SHERIFFS OFFICE REPORTED MOCCASIN AND CRAWFORD CREEKS SOUTH AND WEST OF THE CITY OF LUFKIN HAVE FLOODED OVER THEIR BANKS. IN TYLER COUNTY FARM/MARKET 1013 EAST OF SPURGER HAS FLOODED IN SEVERAL SPOTS. THE NECHES RIVER IS AT OR NEAR FLOOD AND THE WATER HAS BACKED UP IN MANY OF THE SMALLER CREEKS. PEOPLE NEAR THE NECHES RIVER IN THE COMMUNITY OF RIVER ACRES SHOULD PREPARE FOR HIGH WATER. HIGH WATER MAY FLOOD ESCAPE ROADS AND LEAVE THE COMMUNITY ISOLATED.

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE PORT ARTHUR TX 330 PM CDT SAT JUN 7 1986 ...HEAVY STORMS POSSIBLE IN THE EAST TEXAS LAKES AREA... CONDITIONS ARE DEVELOPING TO SET THE STAGE FOR SOME POSSIBLY VERY HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS ACROSS THE EAST TEXAS LAKES OF SAM RAYBURN AND TOLEDO BEND. BOATERS SHOULD PAY PARTICULAR CLOSE ATTENTION FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE AFTERNOON. IF THE SKY LOOKS THREATENING SEEK PROTECTED HARBOR IMMEDIATELY. THE HEAVY STORMS SHOULD DEVELOPE FROM WOODVILLE TO NACOGDOCHES AND EXTEND EASTWARD ACROSS TOLEDO BEND. THE SEA BREEZE HAS DEVELOPED A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS EAST/WEST ACROSS EAST TEXAS. THESE STORMS ARE EXPECTED TO COLLIDE WITH A GUST FROGNT CAUSED BY EARLIER STORMS IN NORTHEAST TEXAS. THIS SITUATION OFTEN CAUSES SEVERE WEATHER. DANGEROUS WINDS AND LARGE HAIL ARE POSSIBLE IN THIS AREA FOR THE NEXT TWO TO THREE HOURS. DJK
