THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 615 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES OF

NORTHEAST NEBRASKA...EASTERN PLATTE AND COLFAX

AT 535 PM CDT A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS 10 MILES NORTH OF COLUMBUS.

THE THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH AND BY 555 PM CDT
WILL BE ABOUT 5 MILES SOUTHWEST OF HOWELLS.

 REMEMBER...SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN PRODUCE DEADLY WINDS IN EXCESS
OF 75 MPH...LARGE HAIL...KILLER LIGHTNING...AND TORRENTIAL RAINS
THAT CAN QUICKLY FLOOD A LOW LYING AREA.

 THESE STORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE
OR NO WARNING...SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT AND BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO A
PLACE OF SAFETY.

 TORNADO WATCH NUMBER 338 IS IN EFFECT FOR PART OF EASTERN NEBRASKA
