SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NORTH PLATTE NE 400 PM MDT FRI JUN 6 1986 HEAVY THUNDERSHOWERS ARE MOVING ACROSS PARTS OF WEST CENTRAL NEBRASKA. AT 400 PM MDT THUNDERSHOWERS WERE LOCATED ACROSS EASTERN ARTHUR TO KEITH ACROSS NORTHWEST PERKINS COUNTY OF NEBRASKA. THE HEAVIEST WAS NEAR PAXTON TO 10 MILES SOUTHEAST OF OGALLALA WHICH IS 46 MILES WEST OF NORTH PLATTE, NEBRASKA. HEAVY RAIN WITH ONE TO ONE AND A HALF INCHES SIZE HAIL UWAS REPORTED FROM THE OGALLALA POLICE DEPARTMENT AS THE STORM PASS THE CITY. THESE THUNDERSHOWERS WERE MOVING EAST AT 20 MILES AN HOUR AND WILL BE MOVING ACROSS PAXTON NEBRASKA WHICH IS 31 MILES WEST OF NORTH PLATTE BY 415 PM MDT. HETZKE

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE NORTH PLATTE NE 735 PM CDT FRI JUN 6 1986 THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH HAS BEEN CANCELLED WEST CENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA. AT 735 PM CDT AN AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDS OVER SOUTHERN CUSTER COUNTY NEAR BROKEN BOW TO EASTERN LINCOLN COUNTY 15 MILES EAST OF NORTH PLATTE TO NEAR MCCOOK INTO SOUTHWEST CORNER OF SOUTHWEST NEBRASKA. THIS AREA WAS MOVING SOUTHEST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR. THESE THUNDERSTORMS CAN PRODUCE HEAVY RAIN..HAIL..STRONG GUSTY SURFACE WINDS. IN THE CITY OF NORTH PLATTE SURFACE WINDS GUSTS TO 59 MILES AN HOUR WHICH CAUSED TREE DAMAGE..POWER OUTAGE IN PARTS OF THE CITY. HETZKE 0037Z
