THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL NOON CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES:
 
IN WEST CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI
          ..SOUTHERN ISSAQUENA..NORTHERN WARREN

AT 1108 AM CDT RADAR INDICATED A POSSIBLE TORNADO 5 MILES EAST OF
TALLULAH LOUISIANA MOVING NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH. THERE HAS ALSO BEEN A
PUBLIC REPORT OF A TORNADO IN THE SAME AREA. ON ITS PRESENT COURSE
THE POSSIBLE TORNADO WILL PASS SEVERAL MILES NORTH OF VICKSBURG.
 
IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF A TORNADO, THE SAFEST PLACE IS A
BASEMENT.  GET UNDER A WORKBENCH OR PIECE OF STURDY FURNITURE.
IF NO BASEMENT IS AVAILABLE, SEEK SHELTER IN AN INTERIOR ROOM
SUCH AS A CLOSET ON THE LOWEST FLOOR.  USE BLANKETS, PILLOWS, OR
CUSHIONS TO COVER YOUR BODY.  AVOID WINDOWS.
 
IF YOU LIVE IN A HOME OR APARTMENT, SEEK SHELTER IN THE INNERMOST
PORTION OF THE BUILDING ON THE LOWEST FLOOR.  GET TO A BASEMENT
