...THUNDERSTORMS INTENSIFYING OVER MISSISSIPPI...
AT 340 PM..JACKSON RADAR WAS DETECTING THUNDERSTORMS SCATTERED ACROSS
MISSISSIPPI. STRONGEST STORMS WERE IN TWO AREAS.
ONE CLUSTER OF VERY STRONG STORMS WAS SITUATED BETWEEN MCCOMB AND
LAUREL. THESE STORMS WILL PRODUCE 40 TO 50 MILE PER HOUR WIND GUSTS
AND SMALL HAIL AS THEY MOVE NORTHEAST AROUND 15 MILES PER HOUR.
OTHER VERY STRONG STORMS WERE IN A SCATTERED LINE FROM OXFORD TO
GREENVILLE. ONE OF THESE STORMS PRODUCED A FUNNEL CLOUD..AND A
TORNADO WARNING WAS ISSUED FOR SOUTHERN QUITMAN COUNTY FROM 330
UNTIL 4 SOCLOCK. THESE STORMS ARE MOVING EAST AROUND 25 MILES PER HOUR.
