SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MERIDIAN MS 115 PM CDT MON JUL 21 1986 THUNDERSTORMS DEVELOPING RAPIDLY THROUGH EAST CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI AND EXTREME WEST CENTRAL ALABAMA. AT 110 PM WEATHER RADAR INDICATED NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS, SOME QUITE HEAVY OVER EAST CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI AND EXTREME WEST CENTRAL ALABAMA. THE HEAVIEST WERE LOCATED IN GREENE COUNTY ALABAMA..KEMPER AND NESHOBA COUNTIES IN MISSISSIPPI. THE THUNDERSTORMS WERE MOVING SLOWLY SOUTH. BRIEF HEAVY RAIN..STRONG GUSTY WINDS..DANGEROUS LIGHTENING AND POSSIBLY SOME HAIL IS LIKELY WITH THE HEAVIEST THUNDERSTORMS. PERSONS IN EAST CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI AND EXTREME WEST CENTRAL ALABAMA SHOULD BE ALERT FOR jHEAVY THUNDERSTORMS FOR THE NEXT FEW HOURS.
