000 TTAA00 KJAN 172335 RRA SVRJAN MSC043-180030- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE JACKSON MS 535 PM CST MON FEB 17 1986 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 630 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY OF NORTH CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI...GRENADA AT 530 PM CST...DIME TO QUARTER SIZE HAIL WAS REPORTED AT HOLCOMB WHICH IS ABOUT 10 MILES WEST OF GRENADA. THE STORM IS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 35 TO 40 MPH. A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING WIND SPEEDS TO 60 MPH OR HIGHER..DIME SIZED HAIL OR LARGER..AND EVEN TORNADOS. PEOPLE SHOULD BE PREPARED TO TAKE QUICK ACTION IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES.
