THIS           AFTERNOON...

AT 830 AM CST...TUPELO NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE RADAR WAS INDICATING A
RATHER LARGE AREA OF WIDESPREAD LIGHT RAIN WITH EMBEDDED RAINSHOWERS
OVER PARTS OF EXTREME SOUTHWEST TENNESSEE...NORTHEAST ARKANSAS AND
MUCH OF WEST MISSISSIPPI FROMTIPPAH COUNTY IN NORTHCENTRAL MISSISSIPPI
EXTENDING TO THE SOUTHWEST TO YAZOO COUNTY IN THE SOUTHWEST PORTION OF
THE STATE.

HEAVIEST CONCENTRATIONS OF RAIN WERE LOCATED OVER BENTON COUNTY IN
NORTH CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI. MOVEMENT OF THE RAIN WAS TO THE EAST
NORTHEAST AT 35 MILES AN HOUR.
