THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 300 PM EST FOR PEOPLE IN

              NORTHERN NEWTON COUNTY OF NORTHWEST INDIANA.

RADAR INDIACATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 20 MILES EAST OF KANKAKEE
MOVING EAST AT 20 MPH INTO NEWTON COUNTY. STATE POLICE REPORTED
TREES DOWN FROM THIS STORM IN KANKAKEE AND BRADLEY AT 215 PM EST.

PEOPLE IN THE TOWNS OF LAKE VILLAGE AND ROSELAWN ARE IN THE PATH
OF THIS STORM AND SHOULD TAKE SHELTER.

REMEMBER A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCES DAMAGING WINDS IN
EXCESS OF 60 MILES AN HOUR..LARGE HAIL..FREQUENT LIGHTNING
AND POSSIBLE HEAVY RAIN THAT CAN QUICKLY FLOOD LOW AREAS.
