THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 430 PM EST FOR PERSONS IN

SOUTHERN TIPPECANOE COUNTY OF WEST CENTRAL INDIANA.

AT 345PM EST A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING LARGE HAIL
AND GUSTY WINDS ALONG WITH FREQUENT DANGEROUS LIGHTNING WAS ENTERING
WESTERN TIPPECANOE COUNTY. THE STORM WAS ABOUT 12 MILES WEST SOUTHWEST
OF LAFAYETTE AND WAS MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 30 MPH.

PEOPLE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM SHOULD SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.

REMEMBER A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCES DAMAGING WINDS IN
EXCESS OF 60 MILES AN HOUR..LARGE HAIL..FREQUENT LIGHTNING
AND POSSIBLE HEAVY RAIN THAT CAN QUICKLY FLOOD LOW AREAS.

WEATHER RADAR INDICATES THIS STORM SHOULD MOVE EAST AT 30 MPH AND
MOVE NORTH OF KIRKLIN INDIANA WHICH IS ABOUT 30 MILES NORTH OF
INDIANAPOLIS BETWEEN 335PM AND 350 PM EST.

OTHER VERY STRONG STORMS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING HAIL AND GUSTY WINDS
WERE ABOUT 8 MILES SOUTHEAST OF LAFAYATTE AND THEN SCATTERED WEST
SOUTHWEST TO ABOUT 25 MILES NORTH OF TERRE HAUTE.
