THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 300 PM EST FOR PERSONS IN THE

CENTRAL INDIANA COUNTIES OF.....MARION AND SOUTH AND EASTERN
HENDRICKS.

AT 229PM EST A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAPABLE OF PRODUCING OF
DAMAGING WINDS A HAIL WAS INDICATED BY RADAR ABOUT 20 MILES
WEST AND SOUTHWEST OF INDIANAPOLIS.

PEOPLE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM SHOULD SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY.

REMEMBER A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCES DAMAGING WINDS IN
EXCESS OF 60 MILES AN HOUR..LARGE HAIL..FREQUENT LIGHTNING
AND POSSIBLE HEAVY RAIN THAT CAN QUICKLY FLOOD LOW AREAS.

THESE STORMS CAN ALSO PRODUCE A SMALL TORNADO WITH LITTLE

AT 935 AM EST A LINE OF SHOWERS AND DEVELOPING THUNDERSTORMS WAS
OVER WEST CENTRAL INDIANA. A THUNDERSTORM WAS JUST EAST OF TERRE
HAUTE AND WAS MOVING NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH.

A NEARLY SOLID LINE OF SHOWERS WAS FROM 15 MILES NORTH OF TERRE
HAUTE TO 35 MILES SOUTH OF TERRE HAUTE.

THUNDERSTORMS COULD INTENSIFY RAPIDLY AND MAYPRODUCE STRONG
WINDS AyS THEY MOVE ACROSS WEST CENTRAL INDIANA BETWEEN 945 AM
AND 1030 AM EST.

1230 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON.  THE SHOWERS...WILL PRODUCE WIND
GUSTS OF NEAR 50 MPH. MOTORISTS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR THESE
GUSTY WINDS.

AT 11 30 PM EST THE SHOWERS WERE LOCATEDFROM NEAR ANDERSON TO
GREENFIELD TO BEDFORD.  BY 1230 PM THE SHOWERS AND STRONG GUSTYS
WINDS WILL BE FROM WEST OF WINCHESTER...TO EAST OF NEW CASTLE...
TO RUSHVILLE TO BETWEEN SEYMOUR AND NORTH VERNON.

AND CENTRAL INDIANA. PERSONS IN WEST CENTRAL INDIANA SHOULD
BE ALERT FOR THE POTENTIAL SEVERE WEATHER BETWEEN 145PM AND
215PM EST.

STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WERE APPROACHING SULLIVAN INDIANA WHICH IS
ABOUT 25 MILES SOUTH OF TERRE HAUTE. A POTENTIALLY SEVERE STORM
WAS ALSO CLOSING IN ON WEST TERRE HAUTE. PLEASE BE PREPARED TO
MOVE TO SAFETY QUICKLY.

PERSONS SHOULD SEEK SHELTER IN THE INTERIOR PORTIONS OF THE HOUSE
