000 TTAA00 KIND 110008 SVRIND INC007-110045- BULLETIN...IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE INDIANAPOLIS IN 710 PM EST THU JUL 10 1986 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 745 PM EST FOR PERSONS IN THE FOLLOWING NORTHWEST INDIANA COUNTY OF BENTON AT 710 PM A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS 5 MILES SOUTHWEST OF KENTLAND... 30 MILES NORTHWEST OF LAFAYETTE...AND MOVING EAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR. PEOPLE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM SHOULD SEEK SHELTER IMMEDIATELY. REMEMBER A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCES DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MILES AN HOUR..LARGE HAIL..FREQUENT LIGHTNING AND POSSIBLE HEAVY RAIN THAT CAN QUICKLFY FLOOD LOW AREAS. HOWEVER...THERE WERE SHOWERS SCATTERED OVER PARTS OF EXTREME NORTHERN AND EXTREME SOUTHWEST INDIANA. IN ADDITION...VERY HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS WERE IN NORTHEAST ILLINOIS FROM KANKAKEE TO NEAR BLOOMINGTON. THESE THUNDERSTORMS WILL BE MOVING INTO THE NORTHWEST INDIANA COUNTIES OF NEWTON AND NOR THERN BENTON BETWEEN 645PM AND 730PM EST. RAIN WILL BE HEAVY IN THE CITIES OF MOROCCO...SHELDON AND GOODLAND.
