THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 845 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES OF

EAST CENTRAL ILLINOIS...SOUTHERN PIATT...SOUTHERN CHAMPAIGN AND 
 DOUGLAS

AT 755PM CDT A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS REPORTED IN SOUTHERN PIATT
COUNTY NEAR BEMENT ILLINOIS..20 MILES SOUTHWEST OF CHAMPAIGN
ILLINOIS. THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCED THREE QUARTER INCH HAIL
AT BEMENT ILLINOIS AT 750 PM CDT. THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS
MOVING EAST AT 15 MPH.

REMEMBER..A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCES DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS
OF 60 MPH...LARGE HAIL...DEADLY LIGHTNING AND HEAVY RAINS THAT CAN
QUICKLY FLOOD A LOW LYING AREA.

THESE STORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE
OR NO ADVANCE WARNING...SO BE ON THE LOOKOUT AND BE PREPARED TO MOVE
TO A PLACE OF SAFETY IF ONE IS SPOTTED.
