RADAR SUMMARY AND SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WICHITA KS 630 PM CDT MON SEP 15 1986 AT 630 PM A SMALL AREA OF THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN AND POSSIBLY SOME SMALL HAIL WERE IN EXTREME SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS AND NORTH OKLAHOMA. THE AREA OF STORMS WAS ABOUT 40 MILES IN DIAMETER AND WAS CENTERED 20 MILES SOUTHWEST OF ARKANSAS CITY. THE STORMS HAD MOVED VERY LITTLE SINCE 6 PM BUT HAD INCREASED IN INTENSITY. THEY WILL LIKLEY DRIFT SLOWLY TO THE NORTHEAST. RYAN

THE THUNDERSTORM WAS WAS OVER SOUTHEAST SUMNER COUNTY..CENTERED ABOUT 7 MILES SOUTH OF WELLINGTON. THE STORM WAS PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAIN..POSSIBLY SOME HAIL AND STRONG GUSTY WIND. THE STORM HAS MOVED VERY LITTLE BETWEEN 630 PM AND 730 PM AND MAY CAUSE SOME LOCAL AREA FLOODING IN LOW AREAS AND IN URBAN LOCATIONS. RYAN
