THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1230 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES:
IN TEXAS
..NORTHERN LIBERTY
THE LIBERTY COUNTY SHERIFF REPORTS THAT BIG THICKET LAKE ESTATE DAM
FAILING. MILL CREEK IN SOUTHERN POLK COUNTY EMPTIES INTO THE LAKE.
THE DAM HAS ALREADY GIVEN WAY SOME AND IS IN DANGER OF COMPLETELY
WASHING OUT.
PERSONS BELOW THE DAM IN MENARD ACRES ESTATES SHOULD EVACUATE THE
AREA IMMEDIATELY. LIBERTY COUNTY SHERIFF OFFICERS ARE ON THE SCENE
ANDD ARE EVACUATING THE AREA. MORE INFORMATION WILL FOLLOW AS IT
BECOMES AVAILABLE.
