000 TTAA00 KMKE 262340 SVRMSN WIC001-047-057-077-137-270030- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MADISON WI ISSUED BY MILWAUKEE WI 640 PM CDT THU JUN 26 1986 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 730 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF SOUTH CENTRAL WISCONSIN...ADAMS...GREEN-LAKE...JUNEAU...MARQUETTE AND WAUSHARA AT 630 PM CDT RADAR SHOWED INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS 10 MILES EAST OF NECEDAH IN JUNEAU COUNTY MOVING TO THE EAST AT 25 TO 30 MPH. ALSO A REPORT FROM THE ADAMS COUNTY SHERIFF AT 625 PM CDT WAS RECEIVED OF VERY STRONG WINDS AND FREQUENT DANGEROUS LIGHTNING. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS...LARGE HAIL...AND DEADLY LIGHTNING. TORNADOES CAN ALSO DEVELOP FROM SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS. IF THREATENING WEATHER APPROACHES...TAKE SHELTER IMMEDIATELY. SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GREEN BAY WI 615 PM CDT THU JUN 26 1986 AT 615 RADAR INDICATED A LINE OF STRONG THUNDERSTORMS MOVING INTO NORTHEAST WISCONSIN. THE STORMS EXTENDED FROM MENOMINEE COUNTY.. THROUGH WESTERN SHAWANO COUNTY..TO NORTHWEST WAUPACA COUNTY. AT 605 PM CDT THE SHAWANO COUNTY SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT REPORTED HEAVY RAINS NEAR BIRNAMWOOD AND WITTEMBERG. AT 610 PM CDT THE WAUPACE COUNTY SHERIFFS DEPARTMENT REPORTED HEAVY RAINS AND LIGHTNING IN THE NORTHWEST PORTION OF THE COUNTY. THESE THUNDERSTORMS ARE STILL LIKELY TO PRODUCE HEAVY RAINS AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING AS THEY MOVE THROUGH MENONINEE..SHAWANO..AND WAUPACE COUNTIES.
