SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GOODLAND KS 535 PM CDT JUN 23 1986 ...SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 292 IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CDT FOR A PART OF NORTHWEST KANSAS... AT 525 PM CDT STRONG THUNDERSTORM WERE ALONG THE KANSAS NEBRASKA BORDER ABOUT 20 MILES NORTH NORTHEAST OF ATWOOD KANSAS. THIS STORM WAS MOVING SOUTHEAST ABOUT 20 MILES AN HOUR AND WOULD LIKELY MOVE INTO EASTERN RAWLINS COUNTY EAST OF ATWOOD BY AROUND 6 PM CDT THIS EVENING. THIS STORM COULD PRODUCE STRONG WINDS..DEADLY LIGHTING...AND HEAVY RAINS ALONG WITH SOME HAIL. ANOTHER STORM WAS DEVELOPING ABOUT 15 MILES NORTHEAST OF COLBY KANSAS. FURTHER STATEMENTS OR WARNINGS WILL BE ISSUED AS NEEDED. BOYLE
