000 TTAA00 KGRI 242055 TORGRI NEC079-242130- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED/EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GRAND ISLAND NE 355 PM CDT THU JUL 24 1986 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 430 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY OF SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA...HALL AT 350 PM CDT A FUNNEL CLOUD WAS REPORTED 5 MILES NORTHWEST OF GRAND ISLAND NEBRASKA MOVING TO THE EAST AT 35 MPH PERSONS IN THE WARNED AREA SHOULD TAKE SHELTER IN A BASEMENT IF AVAILABLE. OTHERWISE GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR. CARS AND MOBILE HOMES SHOULD BE ABANDONED. PEOPLE IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO SHOULD TAKE COVER IMMEDIATELY TO SAVE YOUR LIVES. IF YOU ARE CAUGHT IN THE OPEN..TRY TO HIDE IN A DEPRESSION LIKE A DITCH OR CULVERT. DAMAGE REPORTS OR OBSERVED SEVERE WEATHER SHOULD BE GIVEN TO A LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY FOR RELAY TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE.
