000 TTAA00 KGRI 070224 TORGRI NEC001-079-070250- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED/EBS ACTIVATION REQUESTED TORNADO WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GRAND ISLAND NE 924 PM CDT FRI JUN 6 1986 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 950 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA...EASTERN ADAMS AND EASTERN HALL AT 920PM...NUMEROUS FUNNEL CLOUDS HAVE BEEN REPORTED OVER EAST HALL AND ADAMS COUNTIESF IN THE VICINITY OF GRAND ISLAND..CAIRO AND HASTINGS. PERSONS IN THE WARNED AREA SHOULD TAKE SHELTER IN A BASEMENT IF AVAILABLE. OTHERWISE GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST FLOOR. CARS AND MOBILE HOMES SHOULD BE ABANDONED. DER

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT AND RADAR SUMMARY NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE GRAND ISLAND NE 730 PM CDT FRI JUN 6 1986 RAINSHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS A FEW VERY STRONG CONTINUE TO MOVE EAST FROM WESTERN NEBRASKA INTO CENTRAL SECTIONS OF THE STATE. THE MOST INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE THAT WAS 15 MILES WIDE THAT EXTENDED FROM CALLAWAY TO JUST EAST OF COZAD TO STOCKVILLE THEN TO JUST NORTH OF MCCOOK. THUNDERSTORMS PRODUCED WINDY GUSTS TO 50 MPH AT GOTHENBURY EARLIER THIS EVENING AS THE LINE MOVED THROUGH THE AREA. OTHER THUNDERSTORMS...A FEW VERY HEAVY WERE ALSO OCCURRING IN NORTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA AND IN SOUTHWESTERN NEBRASKA. MOVEMENT WAS EAST SOUTHEAST AT 30 MPH. STOKES
