THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING 
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 625 PM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF

SOUTH CENTRAL NEBRASKA...NORTHEAST HALL...NORTHWEST HAMILTON AND 
 NORTHWEST MERRICK

AT 555 PM AT POSSIBLE TORNADO WAS INDICATED ON RADAR BETWEEN ALDA AND
 GRAND ISLAND MOVING NORTHNORTHEAST AT 30 MPH.  THIS WARNING INCLUDES
THE CITY OF GRAND ISLAND,

PERSONS IN THE WARNED AREA SHOULD TAKE SHELTER IN A BASEMENT IF
AVAILABLE.  OTHERWISE GO TO A SMALL INTERIOR ROOM ON THE LOWEST
FLOOR.  CARS AND MOBILE HOMES SHOULD BE ABANDONED.

PEOPLE IN THE PATH OF THIS TORNADO SHOULD TAKE COVER IMMEDIATELY
TO SAVE YOUR LIVES.

IF YOU ARE CAUGHT IN THE OPEN..TRY TO HIDE IN A DEPRESSION LIKE
A DITCH OR CULVERT.

IN ADDITION TO THE THREAT O]F TORNADOES..LARGE HAIL..DANGEROUS
LIGHTNING AND VERY HEAVY RAIN ARE LIKELY WITH THIS STORM.
