900 PM CDT FRI MAY 16 1986

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ISSUED A TORNADO WARNING EFFECTIVE
UNTIL 1000 PM CDT FOR THE PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES IN NORTH
CENTRAL TEXAS...FOARD HARDEMAN WILBARGER.

AT 855 PM CDT A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCING A TORNADO WAS REPORTED
5 MILES WEST OF CROWELL. THIS THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING TO THE EAST
AT 12 MPH. THIS STORM HAS ALSO PRODUCED GOLF BALL SIZE HAIL IN THE
COOPER BREAKS STATE PARK NORTH OF CROWELL AT 850 PM.

RESIDENTS ACROSS FOARD AND SOUTHERN HARDEMAN COUNTY SHOULD TAKE SHELTER.
THIS THUNDERSTORM WILL BE MOVING INTO WESTERN WILBARGER COUNTY DURING
THE NEXT HALF HOUR. RESIDENTS IN WILBARGER COUNTY SHOULD BE ALERT
TO THIS THUNDERSTORM AND BE READY TO TAKE QUICK ACTION.
