SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FORT WORTH TX 1010 PM CST SUN MAR 9 1986 AT 1010 PM CST A LINE OF VERY STRONG THUNDERSTORMS WAS MOVING TOWARDS WISE AND COOKE COUNTIES. THE LEADING EDGE OF THE THUNDERSTORM LINE WAS ALONG A LINE FROM 15 MILES NORTHWEST OF MONTAGUE TO JACKSBORO. THE LINE WAS ABOUT 15 MILES WIDE AND MOVING EAST AT 20 MPH. INDIVIDUAL THUNDERSTORM CELLS WERE MOVING NORTHEAST AT 50 MPH. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS BE PREPARED FOR STRONG GUSTY WINDS..HAIL..BRIEF HEAVY RAIN AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING. CAMPERS AND BOATERS IN THE LAKE TEXOMA AREA SHOULD TAKE SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS. LISTEN TO COMMERCIAL RADIO..TV..OR WEATHER RADIO FOR LATER STATEMENTS OR POSSIBLE WARNINGS.
