...TORNADO WATCH CONTINUES IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CDT FOR BOSQUE AND
HILL COUNTIES OF TEXAS...
AT 735 PM CDT WACO WEATHER RADAR SHOWED SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDER-
STORMS FROM 20 MILES SOUTH OF KILLEEN TO AUSTIN TO JUST NORTHWEST OF
SAN ANTONIO. MOVEMENT WAS TO THE EAST.
THUNDERSTORMS LOCATED SOUTHEAST OF SAN ANGELO AND JUST SOUTH AND EAST
OF WICHITA FALLS MOVING TO THE EAST.

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE FORT WORTH TX 750 PM CDT WED MAY 14 1986 A TORNADO WATCH IS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM THIS EVENING FOR PARTS OF NORTH CENTRAL..NORTHWEST TEXAS AND SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA. THE WATCH INCLUDES THE DALLAS/FORT WORTH METROPLEX..THE SHERMAN AREA AND ADJACENT PARTS OF SOUTHERN OKLAHOMA. AT 740 PM A LARGE AND INTENSE THUNDERSTORM WAS LOCATED OVER EXTREME EASTERN ARCHER COUNTY AND THE SOUTHWESTERN SECTIONS OF CLAY COUNTY. A TORNADO HAD BEEN REPORTED WITH THIS STORM. THE THUNDERSTORM WAS MOVING EAST AROUND 25 TO 30 MILES AN HOUR. AT THE PRESENT RATE OF SPEED AND MOVEMENT..THIS STORM WILL BE AFFECTING THE WESTERN PORTIONS OF COOKE COUNTY WITHIN THE NEXT HOUR TO HOUR AND A HALF. ALSO THE EXTREME NORTHERN SECTIONS OF WISE COUNTY COULD FEEL THE AFFECTS OF THIS STORM DURING THE NEXT HOUR. HOWEVER IT DOES APPEAR AT THIS TIME THAT THE BRUNT OF THIS STORM WILL BE TO THE NORTH OF WISE COUNTY. PEOPLE IN COOKE AND WISE COUNTIES SHOULD BE PARTICULARY ALERT FOR ANY FAST CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS OR FOR ANY SEVERE WEATHER WARNINGS OF ANY KIND. REMEMBER...A TORNADO WATCH MEANS CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR TORNADOES AND SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN# AND NEAR THE WATCH AREA. PEOPLE IN THESE AREAS SHOULD BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR LATER STATEMENTS AND POSSIBLE WARNINGS.
