^FTWSPSACT SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WACO TX 830 AM CST MON FEB 3 1986 ...VERY HEAVY RAIN IS FALLING OVER PARTS OF CENTRAL TEXAS... SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS..SOME PRODUCING VERY HEAVY RAINFALL HAVE BEEN OCCURRING OVER WESTERN AND SOUTHERN SECTIONS OF CENTRAL TEXAS THIS MORNING. THE HEAVIEST RAIN HAS BEEN ALONG AND WEST OF A LINE FROM KILLEEN TO WACO. OVER TWO INCHES OF RAIN HAS FALLEN AT MADISON COOPER AIRPORT SINCE 6 AM THIS MORNING AND AMOUNTS OF OVER TWO INCHES ARE COMMON IN THE WACO AREA. HEWITT REPORTED 2.81 INCHES OF RAIN. REPORTS OF HIGH WATER ON STREETS AND LOW LYING AREAS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED IN THE WACO AREA WITH SOME STREETS IN THE CITY CURB DEEP IN WATER. PERSONS IN CENTRAL TEXAS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR THE POSSIBILITY OF FLOODING AND SHOULD BE READY TO MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND SHOULD FLOODING OCCUR. DO NOT TRY TO DRIVE OR WALK THROUGH HIGH WATER. STAY TUNED TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO OR TO RADIO AND TV STATIONS FOR LATER STATEMENTS.
