SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE WACO TX 1040 PM CDT WED JUN 4 1986 ...A FLASH FLOOD WATCH IS IN EFFECT FOR TONIGHT FOR ALL OF NORTH TEXAS INCLUDING THE WACO AREA... A FLASH FLOOD WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS EXIST FOR POSSIBLE HEAVY RAINS IN THE WATCH AREA. ALL PERSONS ARE ADVISED TO REMAIN ALERT AND BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND IF FLOODING IS OBSERVED OR A WARNING IS ISSUED. AT 1035 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED VERY HEAVY THUNDRSTORMS ALONG A LINE FROM FORT WORTH SOUTHWEST TO STEPHENVILLE AND INTO NORTHERN COMANCHE COUNTY NEAR RISING STAR MOVING SLOWLY EASTWARD AND PRODUCING HEAVY RAINFALL. NO PRECIPITATION WAS INDICATED IN OR NEAR THE WACO AREA. STAY TUNED TO NOAA WEATHER RADIO..TV OR RADIO FOR FURTHER STATEMENTS.
