000 TTAA00 KFSD 012039 SVRFSD SDC101-MNC117-133-012145- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SIOUX FALLS SD 339 PM CDT TUE JUL 1 1986 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 445 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF EAST CENTRAL SOUTH DAKOTA...SOUTHERN MOODY SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA...SOUTHERN PIPESTONE AND ROCK SOME OF THE CITIES INCLUDED IN SOUTHWEST MINNESOTA ARA PIPESTONE AND HARDWICK. AT 335 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM OVER SOUTHEAST MOODY COUNTY OR 25 MILES NORTH NORTHEAST OF SIOUX FALLS SOUTH DAKOTA. THE STORM WAS MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 30 MPH. IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM..YOU SHOULD GET TO A REINFORCED SHELTER. A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCES DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH..HAIL 3/4 INCH OR LARGER..DEADLY LIGHTNING..AND HEAVY RAIN THAT CAN QUICKLY FLOOD A LOW LYING AREA. KOSCIELSKI

SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SIOUX FALLS SD 230 PM CDT TUE JUL 1 1986 AT 225 PM CDT RADAR SHOWED A THUNDERSTORM WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN ABOUT 5 TO 10 MILES WEST NORTHWEST OF BROOKINGS SOUTH DAKOTA. THE THUNDER/ STORM WILL LIKELY MOVE OVER THE CITY OF BROOKINGS BETWEEN 230 AND 300 PM CDT. LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN..SMALL HAIL..AND GUSTY WINDS WILL LIKELY ACCOMPANY THE STORM. OTHER THUNDERSTORMS WERE DEVELOPING OVER EASTCENTRAL SOcUTH DAKOTA. ONE WAS IN THE VICINITY OF HURON..AND A COUPLE IN THE CLEAR LAKE AREA.
