THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM 
WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1130 AM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING 
COUNTIES OF

SOUTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA...CLAY AND EASTERN YANKTON

THIS WARNING INCLUDES THE ADJACENT WATERS OF THE MISSOURI RIVER.

SOME OF THE CITIES INCLUDED IN THIS WARNING ARE WAKONDA..VOLIN..
..VERMILLION.

AT 1020 AM CDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM JUST EAST OF
YANKTON SOUTH DAKOTA. MOVEMENT OF THIS DANGEROUS THUNDERSTORM WAS
NORTHEAST 30 MPH.

 AT 1015 AM CDT 1 INCH HAIL WAS REPORTED AT YANKTON SOUTH DAKOTA.

IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS STORM..YOU SHOULD GET TO A REINFORCED
SHELTER. A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCES DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF
60 MPH..HAIL 3/4 INCH OR LARGER..DEADLY LIGHTNING..AND HEAVY RAIN
THAT CAN 5QUICKLY FLOOD A LOW LYING AREA.

WAS LOCATED OVER EXTREME SOUTHWEST YANKTON COUNTY..OR 10 MILES WEST
OF YANKTON SOUTH DAKOTA IN SOUTHEAST SOUTH DAKOTA. THE STORM WAS MOVING
TO THE NORTHEAST AT 25 MPH. PEOPLE IN YANKTON COUNTY SHOULD BE ALERT
TO THE INTENSE THUNDERSTORM UNTIL 1030 AM CDT.
