000 TTAA00 KMCN 020026 SVRMCN GAC271-309-020130- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE MACON GA 826 PM EDT FRI AUG 1 1986 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 930 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF CENTRAL GEORGIA...TELFAIR AND WHEELER AT 815 PM WEATHER RADAR INDICATED AT SEVERE THUNDERSTORM IN CENTRAL WHEELER COUNTY BETWEEN ALAMO AND GLENWOOD GEORGIA.t A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS ALSO INDICATED JUST WEST OF LUMBER CITY GEORGIA IN TLEFAIR COUNTY. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE SOUTHEAST AT 20 MILES AN HOUR. THIS IS A DANGEROUS STORM. TAKE COVER IMMEDIATELY !!

AT 5 PM EDT..COLUMBUS RADAR INDICATED INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS OVER AND JUST SOUTH OF ALBANY GEORGIA...ALSO IN THE SYLVESTER AREA. THE STORMS WERE MOVING SOUTH AT 12 MPH. PERSONS IN THE VICINITY OF THESE THUNDERSTORMS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR RAPIDLY CHANGING WEATHER CONDITIONS AND BE PREPARED TO TAKE PROTECTIVE ACTION IF NECESSARY. IN ADDITION TO DANGEROUS LIGHTNING AND STRONG GUSTY WINDS...SOME BRIEF FLOODING OF SMALL STEAMS AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS CAN BE EXPECTED DUE TO HEAVY RAINS.
