THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 400 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY IN

SOUTHCENTRAL TEXAS...VAL VERDE.

AT 1235 PM CDT THUNDERSTORMS WITH HEAVY RAIN HAVE BEEN OBSERVED IN 
DEL RIO. LOW LYING AREAS..UNDERPASSES..AND SOME STREETS IN DEL  
RIO ARE FLOODED NOW. IF YOU ARE IN A LOW LYING AREA..BE 
PREPARED TO MOVE TO HIGHER GROUND.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS OCCURRING OR IS
IMMINENT. MOST FLASH FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN AUTOMOBILES. DO NOT
ATTEMPT TO CROSS BRIDGES..DIPS..OR LOW SPOTS IF WATER COVERS THE
ROADWAY. NEVER TRY TO CROSS A FLOWING STREAM..EVEN A SMALL ONE..ON
FOOT. TO ESCAPE RISING WATER MOVE UP TO HIGHER GROUND.

AREA..INCLUDING LAKE AMISTAD. THESE STORMS WERE MOVING TO THE NORTH
AT 10 MPH.

HEAVY RAIN..SMALL HAIL..STRONG GUSTY WINDS AND FREQUENT
LIGHTNING ARE POSSIBLE WITH THESE STORMS.

BOATERS ON LAKE AMISTAD SHOULD USE EXTREME CAUTION.
