THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1245 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY IN

SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS...VAL VERDE.

AT 840 AM RADAR SHOWED THAT ALL THE THUNDERSTORMS AND SHOWERS HAD
MOVED EAST OF DEL RIO AND VAL VERDE COUNTY.

EAST OF DEL RIO NEAR HAMILTON LANE BEHIND THE COUNTY JAIL DRAWS ARE
RUNNING FULL AND ROADS ARE IMPASSABLE. PERSONS LIVING NEAR THE SAN
FELIPE AND CIENEGAS CREEKS SHOULD BE READY FOR POSSIBLE FLOODING.

HEAVY RAIN WAS RECEIVED IN VAL VERDE COUNTY DURING THE NIGHT WITH
COMSTOCK RECEIVING 3.2 INCHES OF RAIN. COW CREEK AND EVANS CREEK SOUTH
OF HIGHWAY 90 NEAR COMSTOCK WERE RUNNING FULL. DURING THE NIGHT BAKERS
CROSSING..ALONG THE DEVILS RIVER..25 MILES NORTH OF COMSTOCK ON
HIGHWAY 163 REPORTED 1.17 INCHES OF RAIN.

A FLASH FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS INMINENT OR HAS BEEN
REPORTED. TAKE ANY NEEDED PROTECTIVE ACTION NOW. REPORT ANY FLOODING
TO THE NEAREST LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY AND ASK THEM TO RELAY TO THE
NEAREST NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE OFFICE.
