000 TTAA00 KCOU 142125 COR SVRCOU MOC027-142215- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING ...CORRECTION..ADD SOUTHERN BOONE COUNTY NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA MO 424 PM CDT MON JUL 14 1986 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 515 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY OF CENTRAL MISSOURI...CALLAWAY AND SOUTHERN BOONE AT 415 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM OVER COLUMBIA REGIONAL AIRPORT MOVING SOUTHEAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR. WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MILES AN HOUR STRUCK THE AIRPORT AT 400 PM CDT. REMEMBER A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCES DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH..LARGE HAIL..DEADLY LIGHTNING AND HEAVY RAIN THAT CAN QUICKLY FLOOD A LOW LYING AREA. THESE STORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO SAFETY IMMEDIATELY IF ONE IS SPOTTED.
