000 TTAA00 KCOU 130015 SVRCOU MOC015-159-130115- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE COLUMBIA MO 715 PM CDT SAT JUL 12 1986 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 815 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF CENTRAL MISSOURI...NORTHERN BENTON AND SOUTHERN PETTIS AT 710 PM CDT RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM OVER SOUTHERN PETTIS AND NORTHERN BENTON COUNTIES MOVING EAST AT 30 MILES AN HOUR. A FUNNEL CLOUD WAS REPORTED BY THE POLICE IN THIS THUNDERSTORM. REMEMBER A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM PRODUCES DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 60 MPH..LARGE HAIL..DEADLY LIGHTNING AND HEAVY RAIN THAT CAN QUICKLY FLOOD A LOW LYING AREA. THESE STORMS CAN AND OCCASIONALLY DO PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCE WARNING. BE PREPARED TO MOVE TO SAFETY IMMEDIATELY IF ONE IS SPOTTED. REPORT SEVERE WEATHER TO THE NEAREST LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY AND7 ASK THEM TO RELAY YOUR REPORT TO THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE. LA GREE
