THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A FLASH FLOOD WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 700 AM CDT FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF

CENTRAL MISSOURI... WEST MONITEAU... EXTREME NORTH MORGAN... PETTIS...
   SOUTH COOPER

AT 230 AM CDT INTENSE THUNDERSTORMS WITH VERY HEAVY RAIN WERE IN A NEAR
STATIONARY BAND ABOUT 10 MILES WIDE ACROSS THE WARNING AREA.  THE STORMS
RAN GENERALLY ALONG HIWAY 50 FROM NEAR 10 MILES WEST OF SEDALIA TO
TIPTON AND CALIFORNIA MISSOURI..OR TO ABOUT 30 MILES EAST OF SEDALIA.
THE STORMS HAD SHOWN LITTLE MOVEMENT SINCE MIDNIGHT AND REPORTS OF
CONTINUOUS HEAVY RAIN HAD BEEN RECEIVED.  FLOODING ALONG HIGHWAY 50
AND ON NEARBY SMALL STREAMS AND CITY STREETS IS LIKELY.
FLASH FLOODING IS IMMINENT IN THIS AREA.  IF YOU LIVE
ALONG THESE RIVERS AND STREAMS...YOU SHOULD GO TO SAFETY IMMEDIATELY.
