405 PM CDT SUN JUL 27 1986

...STRONG THUNDERSTORM RAPIDLY DEVELOPING OVER CENTRAL IOWA...

BETWEEN 345 PM AND 4 PM A THUNDERSTORM DEVELOPED RAPIDLY OVER CENTRAL
IOWA..OVER WESTERN SECTIONS OF THE DES MOINES METRO AREA.

DUE TO THE RAPID DEVELOPMENT OF THE STORM..VERY HEAVY RAINS..WIND GUSTS
OF 30 TO 40 MILES AN HOUR..AND SOME SMALL HAIL CAN BE EXPECTED.

THE STORM WILL MOVE EAST..AND WILL MOVE ACROSS DES MOINES BETWEEN
405 PM AND 5 PM.

IN ADDITION..MORE THUNDERSTORMS MAY RAPIDLY DEVELOP IN CENTRAL IOWA
DURING THE NEXT FEW HOURS.  RECREATIONAL INTERESTS..ESPECIALLY THOSE
ON AREA LAKES..SHOULD KEEP A CLOSE WATC[H ON THE SKY AND BE READY TO
MOVE TO A SAFE PLACE.
