.....THUNDERSTORMS RAPIDLY DEVELOPING IN SOUTHWEST KANSAS ..............

TWO THUNDERSTORMS HAD RAPIDLY DEVELOPED IN SOUTHWEST KANSAS SINCE 9 PM.

THE STRONGER OF THE TWO WAS OVER COLDWATER IN NORTHCENTRAL COMANCHE
COUNTY OR ABOUT 40 MILES SOUTHEAST OF DODGE CITY.  THIS STORM CONTAINED
MODERATE RAIN AND PEA SIZE HAIL.

A SECOND STORM WAS BUILDING RAPIDLY 20 MILES SOUTH OF DODGE CITY JUST
NORTH OF MINNEOLA KANSAS IN NORTHERN CLARK COUNTY.

MOVEMENT OF THESE STORMS WILL BE DETERMINED SHORTLY BUT A SOUTHEASTERLY
DIRECTION IS LIKELY.  PERSONS SHOULD BE ALERT FOR POSSIBLE THREATNING
WEATHER TONIGHT..ESPECIALLY IN CLARK AND COMANCHE COUNTIES.

COMPLETELY SURROUND DODGE CITY IN CENTRAL FORD COUNTY.

THESE STORMS ARE DEVELOPING RAPIDLY AND GENERALLY WERE MOVING TO THE EAST.

DODGE CITY IS ALMOST CERTAIN TO RECEIVE SOME RAINFALL TONIGHT AND POSSIBLY
SOME HAIL.  PERSONS IN SOUTHWEST KANSAS ARE ADVISED THAT THE POTENTIAL FOR
SEVERE WEATHER IS HIGH TONIGHT IN SOUTHWEST KANSAS.

ALL PRECAUTIONS SHOULD BE TAKEN TONIGHT TO PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY IF THE

THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR NORTHERN PRATT AND ALL OF
STAFFORD COUNTIES HAS EXPIRED ASND WILL NOT BE EXTENDED.

A LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDED ACROSS SOUTHWEST KANSAS FROM JOHNSON
THROUGH ULYSSES AND CIMARRON TO KINSLEY AND STAFFORD.
THE LINE WAS STILL VERY STRONG AND WAS MOVING EAST AT 10 TO 15 MPH.
