THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 1115 PM CDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES...

SOUTHWEST KANSAS.. HAMILTON

RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM MOVING SLOWLY EAST AT 10 MPH
THAT WAS CENTERED OVER COOLIDGE KS ABOUT 15 MILES WEST OF gSYRACUSE.
THIS STORM WILL LIKLEY REACH SYRACUSE BY 1035 PM CDT.


THIS STORM WILL LIKELY PRODUCE FREQUENT..DANGEROUS LIGHTNING..LARGE
HAIL..AND HEAVY RAINS CAUSING FLOODING OF LOW LYING AREAS. PREPARE
TO GO TO A SAFE PLACE IMMEDIATELY

THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH NUMBER 447 THAT WAS EFFECTIVE FOR PARTS
OF SOUTHWEST AND SOUTH CENTRAL KANSAS HAS BEEN CANCELLED.

THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS HAVE MOVED SOUTHEAST OUT OF SOUTHWEST KANSAS
INTO OKLAHOMA. HOWEVER OTHER THUNDERSTORMS REMAIN IN PARTS OF SOUTHWEST
KANSAS.  VERRY HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS IN SOUTHEAST COLORADO WILL BEAR
WATCHING FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF HOURS.

THE LARGER THUNDERSTORMS WERE 30 MILES WEST TO 35 MILES SOUTHWEST OF
SYRACUSE AT 745 PM CDT. ANOTHER LARGE THUNDERSTORM WAS 5 MILES SOUTH OF
PROTECTION KS.

BE PREPARED TO TAKE NECESSARY PRECAUTIONS AS THESE STORMS DEVELOPE OR
MOVE INTO THE SOUTHWEST KANSAS AREA.
