000 TTAA00 KDDC 270620 SVRDDC KSC025-057-097-270700- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DODGE CITY KS 1220 AM CST SUN APR 27 1986 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 100 AM CST FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTIES OF SOUTHWEST KANSAS...NORTHERN CLARK...SOUTHEAST FORD AND WESTERN KIOWA AT 1215 AM CST A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WAS INDICATED BY RADAR 10 MILES NORTHWEST OF ASHLAND KS. MOVEMENT WAS NORTHEAST AT 40 MPH. THIS STORM WILL LIKELY PRODUCE FREQUENT..DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.. LARGE HAIL AND DAMAGING WINDS. REMEMBER A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM CAN PRODUCE DAMAGING WINDS IN EXCESS OF 58 MPH..HAIL OF 3/4( INCH DIAMETER OR GREATER..DEADLY LIGHTNING.. AND HEAVY RAINFALL THAT CAN QUICKLY FLOOD LOW LYING AREAS. HOWEVER, A LINE OF SCATTERED SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED FROM ROLLA IN THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF KANSAS TO NEAR SUBLETTE AND NORTHEAST TO DIGHTON KS. SPECIAL WEATHER STATEMENT NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DODGE CITY KS 1040 PM CST SAT APR 26 1986 A LINE OF HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS EXTENDED FROM THE OKLAHOMA PANHANDLE NORTHEAST THROUGH MEADE AND DODGE CITY TO LA CROSSE KS. THIS LONE OF THUNDERSTORMS WAS MOVING EAST NORTHEAST AT 30 MPH. HEAVY THUNDERSHOWERS AT DODGE CITY DROPPED 0.60 INCHES OF RAINFALL IN 30 MINUTES. MEADE KS REPORTED HEAVY RAIN AND PEA SIZE HAIL AT 1030 PM CST AND LITTLE W^IND. HEAVY RAINS.. PEA SIZE HAIL ARE LIKELY AT ANY POINT ALONG TTHE PATH OF THIS LINE OF THUNDERSTORMS. HOWEVER THERE HAS NOT BEEN ANY SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS INDICATED BY RADAR. DELZEIT
