THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
EFFECTIVE UNTIL 740 PM EDT FOR THE FOLLOWING COUNTY OF
 
OHIO... WYANDOT
 
AT 630 PM WEATHER SERVICE RADAR INDICATED A POSSIBLE SEVERE             
THUNDERSTORM OVER WYANDOT COUNTY MOVING NORTHEAST AT 35 MPH.            
 
IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS THUNDERSTORM GET TO A REINFORCED 
SHELTER AND PREPARE FOR STRONG.. DAMAGING WINDS.. LARGE HAIL..
HEAVY RAINS.. AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.  REMEMBER THESE STORMS CAN.. AND
OCCASIONALLY DO.. PRODUCE A TORNADO WITH LITTLE OR NO ADVANCED WARNING.

445 PM EDT WED MAY 14 1986

THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A TORNADO WATCH EFFECTIVE UNTIL
10 PM EDT FOR MOST OF THE WESTERN THIRD OF OHIO.

THE AREA OF THE WATCH WILL INCLUDE THAT PART OF THE STATE WEST OF A LINE
FROM BOWLING GREEN SOUTH TO THE OHIO RIVER IN ADAMS COUNTY.   REMEMBER A
TORNADO WATCH MEANS THAT CONDITIONS ARE FAVORABLE FOR THE FORMATION OF
TORNADOES OR SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS IN AND NEAR THE WATCH AREA.

AT MID AFTERNOON THERE WERE SOME AREAS OF RAIN SHOWERS, MAINLY ACROSS
MUCH OF NORTHERN OHIO.  SCATTERED SHOWERS OCCURRED THROUGH THE
MORNING IN MANY PARTS OF THE STATE, BUT RAIN AMOUNTS WERE GENERALLY
LIGHT, AROUND ONE-TENTH OF AN INCH OR LESS.

AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES RANGED FROM THE MID 60S IN MANY SECTIONS OF
NORTHERN OHIO TO THE LOW 80S ALONG THE OHIO RIVER IN SOUTHERN OHIO.
GENERALLY MILD WEATHER WILL CONTINUE THROUGH THE REST OF THE WEEK WITH
A CHANCE OF SHOWERS OR THUNDERSTORMS EACH DAY.

HIGH PRESSURE WAS NEARLY STATIONARY THIS AFTERNOON ALONG THE EAST COAST
FROM NEW ENGLAND TO THE CAROLINAS.  A COLD FRONT EXTENDED FROM
MINNESOTA THROUGH IOWA AND MISSOURI TO SOUTHEAST KANSAS.

THE FRONT WILL MOVE EAST ACROSS THE GREAT LAKES AND REACH A POSITION
FROM LAKE HURON THROUGH SOUTHERN MICHIGAN AND NORTHERN ILLINOIS TO
MISSOURI AND KANSAS BY FRIDAY EVENING.  LOW PRESSURE WILL DEVELOP
ALONG THIS FRONT OVER KANSAS FRIDAY NIGHT AND MOVE NORTHEAST TOWARD
THE GREAT LAKES SATURDAY.

THUNDERSTORMS HAVE BEGUN TO DEVELOP IN WESTERN OHIO.

THUNDERSTORMS BEGAN TO DEVELOP OVER WEST CENTRAL OHIO AROUND 530 PM
EDT.  THE STORMS DEVELOPED OVER UNION HARDIN AND LOGAN COUNTIES
WEST OF COLUMBUS AND HAVE BEEN MOVING NORTHEAST  ABOUT 40 MPH.
ONE-HALF INCH HAIL WAS REPORTED IN NORTHERN LOGAN COUNTY WITH ONE
OF THESE STORMS.

A TORNADO WATCH CONTINUEzS IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM EDT FOR MOST OF
THE WESTERN THIRD OF OHIO.

IF THE WEATHER BECOMES THREATENING IN YOUR AREA MOVE TO A SAFE
