000 TTAA00 KBUF 162259 SVRBUF NYC003-170000- BULLETIN - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE BUFFALO NY 659 PM EDT MON JUN 16 1986 THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING EFFECTIVE UNTIL 800 PM EDT FOR PEOPLE IN THE FOLLOWING COUNTY OF NEW YORK...ALLEGANY AT 655 PM EDT BUFFALO RADAR INDICATED A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM OVER NORTHERN CATTARAUGUS COUNTY NEAR FRANKLINVILLE. THE THUNDESTORM WAS MOVING EAST AT 50 MPH. SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS CAN PRODUCE TORNADOES. 1 INCH HAIL WAS REPORTED WITH THESE STORMS AT RANDOLPH NEW YORK SHORTLY AFTER 630 PM. BE ON THE ALERT FOR THUNDERSTORMS ACCOMPANIED BY FREQUENT LIGHTNING STRONG DAMAGING WINDS AND LARGE HAIL. LOCALLY HEAVY RAIN MAY ALSO CAUSE DRAINAGE FLOODING. .
