NUMEROUS THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DEVELOPED OVER VERMONT AND EASTERN NEW YORK.

THUNDERSTORMS HAVE DEVELOPED QUITE RAPIDLY LATE THIS AFTERNOON WITH
SOME BECOMING QUITE HEAVY.

AT 345 PM THE PUBLIC REPORTED 1/2 INCH HAIL AT CHARLOTTE VERMONT.

AT 5 PM THE BURLINGTON WEATHER RADAR WAS SHOWING MANY THUNDERSTORMS
AROUND THE REGION. THE HEVIEST WAS LOCATED OVER SOUTHERN SARATOGA
COUNTY NEW YORK. OTHER THUNDERSTORMS WERE JUST EAST OF LAKE GEORGE
AND NORTHWEST OF SARANAC LAKE.

IN VERMONT THUNDERSTORMS WERE LOCATED JUST NORTH OF MILTON AND MOVING
INTO CENTRAL GRAND ISLE COUNTY.

SOME OF THESE STORMS WILL CONTAIN HAIL, HEAVY RAIN, FREQUENT LIGHTNING
AND GUSTY WINDS.

620 PM EDT THU AUG 6 1986

HEAVY THUNDERSTORMS CONTINUE TO RUMBLE JUST SOUTH OF BURLINGTON.

THE PUBLIC REPORTED AT 550 PM THAT A HEAVY THUNDERSTORM PASSED ABOUT 15
MILES SOUTH OF BURLINGTON. THE STORM PRODUCED WIND GUSTS THAT BLEW
DOWN A GRARGE. THIS STORM HAS MOVED EAST. ALSO THE GREEN MOUNTAIN POWER
COMPANY REPORTED MANY POWER INTERUPTIONS FROM LIGHTNING STRIKES IN THE
SAME AREA.
 OTHER THUNDERSTORMS AND SHOWERS WERE JUST TO THE EAST AND WEST OF THE
QUEEN CITY.

SOME OF THESE STORMS WILL CONTAIN STRONG WIND GUSTS..HEAVY RAIN..
POSSIBLE HAIL AND DANGEROUS LIGHTNING.

IF THREATENING WEATHER APPORACHES WHERE YOU ARE..SEEK SHELTER INDOORS.

OTHER SHOWERS WERE LOCATED NEAR BENNINGTON AND OVER NORTHWEST WINDHAM
COUNTY.

IN NEW YORK STATE SHOWERS AND JPOSSIBLE TJUNDERSTORMS WERE OVER
SOUTHERN C.LINTON AND NORTHERN ESSEX COUNTIES.

ALL PRECIPITATION WAS MOVING TOWARD JTHE EAST AT 25 MPH.
